ReplyDeleteI wanted to post this comment for quite sometime but somehow in my shock at seeing the atrocity committed by your PANEL OF JUDGES AND VIJAY TV in doing A POSTMORTEM OF THE GRAND FINALE I did not post before. With due respect to your learned judges, I want to say this, judges--you could be musically endowed, you might know the nuances of music well BUT YOU DO NOT KNOW THE NUANCES OF HUMAN PSYCHE which is probably a factor that pushed you to DISCREDIT TOTALLY PEOPLE'S VERDICT. Judge Srinivas spoke in his POSTMORTEM MORE LIKE A FANATIC FAN OF SATHYA PRAKASH(of course Sathya is a good singer--no doubt about that at all) THAN AS A JUDGE OF MUSIC WHO RESPECTS PUBLIC VERDICT. He kept on saying that the judges were all music lovers and musicians implying as if WE THE PEOPLE, WE THE LISTENERS ARE STONE DEAF OR MUSICALLY DEAD. Sirs and Madams, WE MAY NOT BE M.S.Subbulakshmis or S.P.Bs or Jesudas--but we do HAVE LISTENING EARS AND THERE IS SOMETHING CALLED A MUSICAL NERVE THAT EXISTS IN EVERY ONE OF US that has VOTED FOR SAI CHARAN. By keeping on repeating THAT SAI CHARAN DESERVED TO BE IN SECOND PLACE, MR.SRINIVAS and Co only had expressed their VICARIOUS SATISFACTION.
VIJAY TV AND THE PANEL OF JUDGES HAVE TREATED THE SUPER SINGER 3 TITLE WINNER SAI CHARAN LIKE A CULPRIT WHO GOT FIRST IN AN INTERNATIONAL EXAMINATION BY COPYING OR THROUGH FOUL MEANS. If this kind of FANATIC ATTITUDE and BIASED ATTITUDE condition the panel of judges WHO HAVE TREATED THE MUSIC LOVERS, THE LISTENERS, THE AUDIENCE, THE PUBLIC WHO VOTED FOR SAI CHARAN AS "FILTH" I am really appalled at the "elitism" demonstrated by these Panel as well as Vijay TV.
If we, the voters, we the listeners' have filthy music taste, these "renowned" panel of judges, few of whom are "renowned" or "popular" singers, would not be in the music industry today. Any music director might have introducted these panel of judges into the film industry--but we the listeners, who have "substandard" taste according to the panel of judges, are the real people who have been the reason behind the popularity of these singers. So DO NOT BELITTLE OUR JUDGEMENT. What Judge Singer Srinivas spoke about SAI CHARAN JUST REMINDED ME OF THE FAMOUS ANTONY'S ORATION IN "JULIUS CAESAR" since the tongue in the cheek attitude of the judge is really humiliating and insulting the achievement of SUPER SINGER 3 SAI CHARAN. Here afterwards I DO NOT WANT TO FOLLOW ANY COMPETITIVE VIJAY TV PROGRAMMES AND I DO NOT WANT TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY PUBLIC VOTING WHICH IS LATER PUT DOWN BY A PANEL OF POSTMORTEM SPECIALISTS. Next time, conduct the MUSICAL CONTEST BEHIND CLOSED DOORS AND MAKE THE JUDGES "THE ONLY MUSIC LOVERS" IN THE WORLD, DECIDE THE VERDICT AND GIVE IT TO ANYBODY THEY LIKE WITHOUT ANY ACKWARD POSTMORTEMS AND SAVE THE SELF-RESPECT OF THE PUBLIC. A big group of followers have been judiciously watching Airtel Super Singer 3 and despite being overseas we voted promptly for Sai Charan ONLY TO BE BRANDED BY YOUR Judge as "non-music lovers" as opposed to Judges who are "music lovers" and "genius".
